Rabbi Daniel Wasserman served congregations in Jersey City, NJ and Worcester, MA, prior to serving for 27 years as the rabbi of Shaare Torah Congregation in Pittsburgh. He was an active member of the Vaad Harabanim of Greater Pittsburgh and involved in its many activities including Kashrut, Eruv, Conversion and the Chevra Kadisha. During his tenure, he founded the Gesher HaChaim Jewish Burial Society. In August 2022, Rabbi and Rebbitzen Wasserman realized their dream of making Aliyah.

He holds a B.S. in Biology from Ramapo College of NJ, a M.S. in Community Leadership from Duquesne University and a Graduate Certificate in Jewish Non-Profit Management from Gratz College. He plays hockey, is a volunteer EMT for Magen David Adom and a volunteer scuba diver for the Israel Aquarium in Jerusalem. The Wasserman residence has for decades served as a second home for Jews of all backgrounds and ages and they look forward to welcoming Migdal HaTorah students into their home and family.
